Gemini Enterprise pricing in 2026: Business, Standard and Plus per seat
Every Gemini Enterprise edition, where consumption charges apply, and the mistake Google-based companies make most often: paying for Gemini twice.
The short answer
Gemini Enterprise Business costs USD 21 per seat per month on an annual plan, and Google quotes the Standard and Plus editions from USD 30. Frontline is an add-on priced by quote. A 50-seat Business deployment costs USD 12,600 a year before consumption charges beyond included quota.

Gemini Enterprise is Google's assistant seat for company data. Business is USD 21 per seat per month and Standard and Plus start at USD 30. It indexes your own documents, and indexing has a quota, and quotas have overage charges.
This guide covers every edition and where the consumption charges sit. The product page does not list per-seat rates, so prices here come from Google's launch pricing and a dated 2026 licensing guide.
Prices below were recorded on 17 October 2026. The headline figure is the lowest price you can get for that plan. Check the official page before you buy, because vendors change prices without notice.

How billing works
Gemini Enterprise is quoted per seat per month on an annual plan. Google's launch pricing is USD 21 for Business and from USD 30 for the Standard and Plus editions. Two things change the real invoice. First, consumption charges apply beyond the quotas included in the subscription, so the seat fee is a floor and not a cap. Second, Gemini Enterprise is a separate product from Gemini in Google Workspace. It does not require a Workspace licence, but Google's admin console still lists a Gemini Enterprise Business edition add-on next to the Workspace AI add-ons, which is why buyers end up paying for AI twice. Frontline is sold only as an add-on on top of a Standard or Plus base.
The tier trap
Business is aimed at the small end and comes with the lowest indexing quota, so any company that wants large volumes of its own data searchable is pushed to Standard or Plus, which start 43% higher at USD 30. Code Assist Standard and priority model access sit on the same side of that line.
Read this first. Google's Gemini Enterprise product page was fetched on 17 October 2026 and does not publish per-seat prices. The USD 21 Business and from USD 30 Standard and Plus figures come from Google's launch announcement as reported by TechCrunch on 9 October 2025. The 1 to 300 seat range, indexing quota tiers, the Frontline add-on requirement and the consumption-charge note come from the Coworker licensing guide dated 16 July 2026, updated 30 September 2026. Partner-reported Plus prices were left out because they are not vendor-published. Confirm all four edition prices with Google Cloud sales before you buy. This page covers Gemini Enterprise, not Google Workspace plans.

Where the bill grows
A Gemini Enterprise bill is seats plus consumption plus any overlap with Workspace. These are the places it moves.
Consumption charges sit on top of the seat fee
Google's billing documentation applies consumption charges beyond the quotas included in the subscription, so the per-seat price is a starting point and not a ceiling.
Paying for AI twice
Gemini Enterprise does not require Google Workspace, but Gemini features are also bundled into Workspace plans, and the admin console lists a Gemini Enterprise Business add-on beside the Workspace AI add-ons. Check what your Workspace plan already includes before buying seats.
Indexing quota drives the tier, not headcount
The per-seat pooled indexing allowance separates Business from Plus. A small team with a lot of documents can be pushed up a tier on data volume alone.
Frontline needs a paid base
Frontline is an add-on and requires a base of Standard or Plus seats, so you cannot cover deskless staff cheaply without first buying the more expensive core licences.
Standard and Plus are quoted, not listed
Google publishes a starting price of USD 30 for Standard and Plus and not a rate, so your actual number comes out of a sales conversation and is hard to benchmark.
Flexible terms cost more than annual
Google's published pricing is for annual plans. Buying on flexible monthly terms is reported to carry a premium, so the entry price assumes a 12-month commitment.

Which Gemini Enterprise plan should you pick?
Gemini Enterprise Business
Pick it if you are under 300 seats, running one department or a startup, with modest indexing needs.
Gemini Enterprise Standard
Pick it for a company-wide rollout with Code Assist Standard and priority model access.
Gemini Enterprise Plus
Pick it if the volume of company data you need indexed is the binding constraint.
Gemini in Google Workspace instead
Pick it if the Gemini features already bundled in your Workspace plan cover what your people actually do.
Our view
At USD 21 per seat per month Gemini Enterprise Business is a low published entry among the large AI assistants, and for a Google-based company the pooled indexing of your own data is a real advantage over a general chat seat. The catch is that the published number is a floor. Consumption charges apply beyond quota, Standard and Plus are quoted from USD 30, and Frontline needs a paid base.
You may be overpaying if
Your Workspace plan already includes the Gemini features your people use, you bought Standard or Plus when Business quota would have covered your data, or you license seats for staff who never open the assistant.
How to pay less for Gemini Enterprise
Audit what Workspace already includes
Gemini features are bundled into Workspace plans and Gemini Enterprise is a separate purchase. Map the overlap before you buy a single seat, because this is where companies pay twice.
Size the tier on indexing, not on job titles
The pooled indexing quota per seat separates Business from Plus. Measure the data volume you need searchable before accepting the higher tier.
Use the free trials before committing
Google ran a 30-day free trial on the Business edition at launch, and the product page offers a no-cost 30-day Gemini Enterprise Plus trial without sales contact. Use them to measure real adoption.
Commit annually, deliberately
Google's published prices are annual-plan prices and flexible terms are reported to cost more. Get the annual rate in writing alongside the consumption terms.
Get the consumption terms quoted, not assumed
Ask for the included quota and the overage rate in the quote. A seat price without a quota figure is not a budget.
Carry a competing quote
Claude Team and ChatGPT Business are both USD 20 per seat per month on annual billing, and Microsoft 365 Copilot Business is USD 18. Those are published numbers you can put against a quoted one.

Gemini Enterprise alternatives and what they cost
If this vendor does not fit, these are the closest options and what they charge.
Indexed data grows every month, and the quota is where the overage starts. Review consumption against the included quota each quarter.
Track who holds a seat. Keep one list of paid seats, their owners and the date each was last used. Our guide to vendor management shows how to set that up.
Put renewals on a calendar. Log every renewal date and notice period in a contract renewal tracker so nobody finds out after the term rolls over.
Route new buys through one request. Cards and expense claims hide duplicate subscriptions. A short purchase requisition step catches them before the first payment.
Know your whole software bill. Pull every vendor into one view with a spend analysis template, then look at the tools with the fastest growth.
Bottom line. If you are on Google, start with Business, use the free trial to measure adoption, and get the indexing quota and overage rate written into the quote. Review the Gemini Enterprise renewal beside the Workspace renewal so the overlap is caught once a year.
Gemini Enterprise pricing questions
How much does Gemini Enterprise cost per seat?
Google's launch pricing is USD 21 per seat per month for the Business edition on an annual plan, with the Standard and Plus editions starting at USD 30 per seat per month. Frontline is an add-on priced by quote and requires a base of Standard or Plus seats.
Is there a free version of Gemini Enterprise?
No. The consumer Gemini app has a free tier, but Gemini Enterprise is paid. Google ran a 30-day free trial on the Business edition at launch, and the Gemini Enterprise product page offers a no-cost 30-day Plus trial that does not require sales contact.
Do I need Google Workspace to buy Gemini Enterprise?
No. Gemini Enterprise is a separate product and does not require a Workspace licence. The confusion is worth money: Gemini features are also bundled into Workspace plans, and the admin console lists a Gemini Enterprise Business add-on beside the Workspace AI add-ons.
Can you get a discount on Gemini Enterprise?
Google publishes annual-plan pricing and quotes Standard and Plus from USD 30, which means the number is negotiable on volume. Flexible monthly terms are reported to cost more, so the annual commitment is itself the published discount.
Is Gemini Enterprise cheaper on an annual plan?
Yes. The published USD 21 and from USD 30 rates are annual-plan prices, and flexible monthly terms are reported to carry a premium. Google does not publish the flexible rate, so ask for both in the quote and compare them against your actual seat churn.
What is the cheapest alternative to Gemini Enterprise?
Microsoft 365 Copilot Business is cheaper per user at USD 18 per user per month on annual billing, but it requires a qualifying Microsoft 365 plan. Claude Team and ChatGPT Business are both USD 20 per seat per month, and neither adds consumption charges on top.
