Pricing guide, Enterprise AI Assistant
The Team seat types, the 150-seat ceiling, what only Enterprise adds, and why an Enterprise bill moves with usage and not just seats.
The short answer
Claude Team costs USD 20 per seat per month billed annually or USD 25 monthly, with premium seats at USD 100 and USD 125. Enterprise is USD 20 per seat annually plus usage at API rates. A 50-seat team pays USD 12,000 a year on annual standard seats at list price.

Claude arrives in most companies the same way. One person pays for Pro, a team moves to Team on a card, and a year later finance is looking at a line item nobody scoped.
The published prices are short. What changes the invoice is which seat type people hold and whether you have crossed into Enterprise, where usage stops being included and starts being metered. This guide covers the business plans using prices read on the official pricing page on 17 October 2026, and it stays on Team and Enterprise and not on the individual Pro and Max plans.
Prices below were recorded on 17 October 2026. The headline figure is the lowest price you can get for that plan. Check the official page before you buy, because vendors change prices without notice.

How billing works
Team runs from 2 to 150 seats, and you can mix standard and premium seats in one workspace, so the invoice is a blend of two rates and not one. Annual Team seats are billed upfront at USD 20 and monthly seats at USD 25. Enterprise is annual only and is structured differently: the USD 20 seat fee buys the platform, and model usage is billed at API rates on top, so your Enterprise bill moves with how hard your people use Claude and does not sit still like a normal seat licence. Extra usage can be bought on both Pro and Team. All prices exclude applicable taxes.
The tier trap
Every control a security review asks for sits on Enterprise: SCIM, audit logs, the Compliance API, custom data retention and IP allowlisting. Moving up for those also moves you onto usage billed at API rates, so the upgrade changes the shape of the bill and not just the number.
Read this first. Seat prices, seat ranges and the Enterprise structure were read on claude.com/pricing on 17 October 2026. The Max plan is an individual tier and is not covered here. Batch API and prompt caching discounts quoted in the savings section come from the Anthropic API record, where the official page could not be fetched, so re-verify them there. Trial and renewal terms are not published on the pricing page. This page is written by Procurement VMS about a vendor product and states published prices without preference.
Move the slider to see what each plan costs at your size. The figures use the list prices on this page and leave out tax, add-ons and any discount you negotiate.

Features we could not place by plan: Claude Code, Claude Cowork and Claude Design, SSO, central billing and admin controls, SCIM, audit logs and Compliance API, Custom data retention and IP allowlisting, Spend limits and role-based access, HIPAA-ready option. Check the official page for which plan includes each one.

Pick it if you have 2 to 150 people, want SSO and central billing, and can live without SCIM and audit logs.
Pick it for the specific people who exhaust standard limits every week, and buy only that many.
Pick it if security requires SCIM, audit logs, the Compliance API, IP allowlisting or a HIPAA-ready setup.
Our view
At USD 20 per seat per month on annual billing, Claude Team is priced level with ChatGPT Business and just under Gemini Enterprise Business, so for most teams the decision turns on output quality and not price. Enterprise is worth it when the compliance controls are hard requirements, but usage at API rates means a variable bill, and that needs an owner. Premium seats pay off only for heavy users.
You may be overpaying if
You bought premium seats for people who never hit standard limits, or you are on Enterprise for controls your security team never asked for while usage charges run unmonitored.
Premium seats are mixable with standard ones. Buy premium only for the users who hit limits, and keep everyone else at USD 20.
Annual Team billing is USD 20 against USD 25 monthly, a 20% saving. On 50 seats that is USD 3,000 a year.
Team seats are easy to hand out and easy to forget. Pull the admin list, match it to active users, and renew on the real number.
ChatGPT Business is USD 20 per seat per month on annual billing and Microsoft 365 Copilot Business is USD 18 per user per month on annual billing. Both are credible quotes to put on the table.
Enterprise usage is billed at API rates, where the Batch API is reported at 50% off and cache reads at a tenth of base input. Route bulk and repeated-context work accordingly.
Enterprise includes spend limits and role-based access. Set them on day one so a usage-based bill cannot surprise you at quarter end.

Bottom line. Start on Team standard seats, add premium seats only for people who exhaust the allowance, and move to Enterprise when SCIM, audit logs or retention become requirements. Put an owner on the usage meter from day one.
A Claude Team standard seat is USD 20 per seat per month billed annually or USD 25 billed monthly. Premium seats are USD 100 annually or USD 125 monthly and give 5x the usage. Enterprise is USD 20 per seat per month on annual billing plus model usage charged at API rates.
There is a free Claude plan, but it is built for individuals. It covers chat on web, desktop and mobile with up to 5 Projects and no Claude Code, and it has no SSO, admin controls or central billing, so it does not work as a team deployment.
Anthropic publishes USD 20 per seat per month on annual billing for Enterprise, plus usage at API rates, which is the part that is not published because it depends on your volume. CostBench reports a median Claude Enterprise contract of USD 126,000 a year from Vendr data on 96 purchases.
Annual billing saves 20% on Team seats, USD 20 against USD 25. Beyond that, the lever is seat mix and usage control and not a published discount: buy premium seats only where needed, and on Enterprise use the Batch API and prompt caching, reported to cut usage rates by 50% and 90%.
Yes. A standard Team seat drops from USD 25 to USD 20 per month and a premium seat from USD 125 to USD 100, a 20% saving on both. For 50 standard seats that is USD 3,000 a year. Annual seats are billed upfront in a single payment.
Microsoft 365 Copilot Business is the cheapest of the mainstream options at USD 18 per user per month on annual billing, but it requires a qualifying Microsoft 365 plan first. ChatGPT Business matches Claude at USD 20 per seat per month, and Gemini Enterprise Business is USD 21.
