Pricing guide, AI Search and Research
Both Perplexity enterprise tiers in plain numbers, the eight-fold gap between them, and the security requirement that usually decides which side you land on.
The short answer
Perplexity Enterprise Pro costs USD 400 per seat per year, about USD 33.33 a month, or USD 40 billed monthly. Enterprise Max is USD 3,250 per seat per year or USD 325 monthly. A 50-seat Enterprise Pro deployment costs USD 20,000 a year at list price, against USD 162,500 on Max.

Perplexity sells cited research and not chat, and it prices that way. The two enterprise tiers are USD 400 and USD 3,250 per seat per year, one of the widest gaps in this category.
A security requirement, more than the amount of research anyone does, usually decides which side of that gap you land on. This guide covers both tiers, the Computer credit allowance, and the individual Pro subscriptions already spreading through expense claims.
Prices below were recorded on 17 October 2026. The headline figure is the lowest price you can get for that plan. Check the official page before you buy, because vendors change prices without notice.

How billing works
Perplexity prices Enterprise by the seat and lets an organization mix Enterprise Pro and Enterprise Max seats, so the invoice is a blend of a USD 400 and a USD 3,250 annual rate. Annual billing is quoted as a per-year figure per seat and not a monthly rate, which makes it easy to compare the wrong numbers. USD 400 a year is USD 33.33 a month against the USD 40 monthly rate, roughly a 17% saving. Volume discounts are said to exist above 250 seats and for education, nonprofit and government buyers, but Perplexity publishes no figures for them. The sharpest variable is Computer credits, which differ by an order of magnitude between Pro and Max seats.
The tier trap
SCIM provisioning, audit logs and configurable data retention are Enterprise Max only, and Max is roughly eight times the price of Enterprise Pro. If your identity or records policy requires automated provisioning or retention control, the cheap tier is off the table for the whole organization unless you mix seat types.
Read this first. Medium confidence. The Free, Pro and Max individual prices (USD 0, USD 17 and USD 167 a month on annual billing) were read on Perplexity's pricing hub on 17 October 2026, but that page carries only individual tiers and did not render enterprise figures. The Enterprise Pro and Enterprise Max prices, the seat-mixing rule and the unpublished volume discounts come from the Coworker guide published 17 July 2026 and updated 30 September 2026, which states it confirmed both prices on Perplexity's enterprise pricing page. Published Computer credit figures for Max conflict, so this page describes the credit difference without a number. Get your allowance in the order form. Confirm both enterprise prices with Perplexity before you buy.

Features we could not place by plan: Search with citations, No training on your data, Internal Knowledge Search across connected apps, SSO and centralised permissions, SOC 2 Type II, HIPAA, GDPR and PCI DSS compliance, SCIM provisioning and audit logs, Configurable data retention, Model Council multi-model querying. Check the official page for which plan includes each one.
Pick it if you are still testing whether cited AI search changes how your team works.
Pick it if one person needs it and company data is not involved.
Pick it if you need Internal Knowledge Search, SSO and the commitment not to train on your data.
Pick it for the specific users who need SCIM, audit logs, retention control or heavy Computer credits, and buy only that many.
Our view
Enterprise Pro at USD 400 per seat per year is reasonable value for teams whose work is research, because Internal Knowledge Search across connected apps is something a general chat seat does not do. Enterprise Max is a different proposition at USD 3,250, worth it only for heavy users or where SCIM and retention controls are required. Most organizations should hold a few Max seats and put the rest on Pro.
You may be overpaying if
You put the whole team on Enterprise Max to satisfy one SCIM requirement, you pay for research seats for people who use Perplexity like a search engine, or individual Pro cards still run alongside the enterprise contract.
Organizations can mix the two tiers. Buy Max only for the users who need SCIM-governed access or heavy Computer credits, and keep everyone else at USD 400 a year.
USD 400 a year is USD 33.33 a month against USD 40 paid monthly, about 17% off. At 50 seats annual billing saves USD 4,000.
Pro is USD 17 a month and spreads through expense claims. Find those seats, fold them into the enterprise contract, and remove the shadow IT data risk at the same time.
Discounts are described for 250-plus seats and for education, nonprofit and government buyers but never published. Name your seat count and your sector and ask for the rate in writing.
Monthly Computer credits decide whether a Pro seat is enough. Published figures have been inconsistent, so have your allowance and any overage stated in the order form.
Claude Team and ChatGPT Business are both USD 20 per seat per month on annual billing. If half your Perplexity users just want answers and not research, that comparison is real bargaining power.

Research seats spread by word of mouth. Reconcile the enterprise seat list against expense claims once a quarter.
Bottom line. Buy Enterprise Pro for the team, add Enterprise Max only for named users who need SCIM or heavy credits, and get the credit allowance in the order form. Reconcile the seat list against expense claims every quarter.
Enterprise Pro is USD 400 per seat per year, about USD 33.33 a month, or USD 40 per seat per month billed monthly. Enterprise Max is USD 3,250 per seat per year or USD 325 per seat per month. Organizations can mix the two seat types in one account.
There is a free Perplexity tier with search, citations and basic models at limited daily usage, but it is built for individuals. It has no SSO, no centralized permissions, no Internal Knowledge Search and no commitment not to train on your data, so it is not a team deployment.
Enterprise Max is USD 3,250 per seat per year or USD 325 per seat per month. It adds SCIM provisioning, audit logs, configurable data retention, the most advanced reasoning models, Model Council multi-model querying, far higher monthly Computer credits and higher file limits over Enterprise Pro.
Annual billing saves about 17% against monthly. Volume discounts are described for 250-plus seats and for education, nonprofit and government buyers, but Perplexity publishes no figures, so you have to name your seat count and sector and ask for the rate in writing.
Yes. Enterprise Pro at USD 400 a year works out to USD 33.33 a month against the USD 40 monthly rate, and Max at USD 3,250 a year is USD 270.83 a month against USD 325. That is about 17% either way, or USD 4,000 a year on 50 Enterprise Pro seats.
Claude Team and ChatGPT Business are both USD 20 per seat per month on annual billing, which is cheaper than Enterprise Pro, though neither does Internal Knowledge Search across your connected apps. Microsoft 365 Copilot Business is USD 18 per user per month if you already hold a qualifying Microsoft 365 plan.
