The seat price is only half of what BILL costs. Every payment carries its own fee, and those fees are where the real invoice separates from the budget. Seat count plus payment mix, not the plan name, determines your annual number.
This guide lists the four plans, the payment fee schedule as reported from BILL's pricing page, and the changes that cut the fee side of the bill.
Prices below were recorded on 17 October 2026. The headline figure is the lowest price you can get for that plan. Check the official page before you buy, because vendors change prices without notice.

How billing works
BILL is priced per user per month, with a separate fee on every payment. On the payor side, reporting of BILL's published schedule puts ePayment and ACH at USD 0.59, a mailed check at USD 1.99, card to ACH at 2.9%, virtual cards free, international FX wires free and international USD wires at USD 19.99. Instant payment is 1.0% with a USD 9.99 floor and a USD 100 ceiling. There is also an exception schedule most buyers never model: Pay Faster ACH at USD 11.99, expedited checks at USD 24.99 overnight, USD 19.99 two-day and USD 14.99 three-day, a USD 25.00 void check fee, USD 3.00 to void a returned check, USD 50.00 when an ACH from the sender fails and USD 25.00 to re-debit after failed funding.
The tier trap
Accounting software integration starts on Team, and running AP and AR together properly lands you on Corporate. If your finance stack needs both, you are at USD 89 per user per month and not the USD 49 headline from day one.
Read this first. bill.com/pricing could not be fetched when this guide was prepared, so confidence is medium. All BILL prices and the payment fee schedule come from Corpay's article, updated 16 September 2026, which states it accessed BILL's pricing page on that date. Corpay is a BILL competitor, so re-verify the four plan prices and the fee table on bill.com/pricing. Free trial, annual discount and renewal terms are not published in any source and are marked as such. The per-plan feature differences (AR coverage, approval depth, accounting integration) are inferred from how the plans are positioned. No buyer-paid benchmark for BILL was available.
Move the slider to see what each plan costs at your size. The figures use the list prices on this page and leave out tax, add-ons and any discount you negotiate.

Our view
BILL is a sound AP and AR automation tool, and the subscription is the smaller lever. Payment mix decides the annual number: checks, wires and card funding carry fees that a small habit change removes. Buy the plan your function needs and not the one labelled Most Popular.
You may be overpaying if
You pay Corporate seats for approvers who rarely log in, you still mail checks that suppliers would take by ACH, or you fund payments by card without a reason.
Each mailed check is USD 1.99 against USD 0.59 for ACH. Converting 100 checks a month saves USD 1,680 a year on the fee difference alone.
International FX wires are free while international USD wires are USD 19.99. Changing the settlement currency removes the fee.
Card to ACH is 2.9%. Unless you are deliberately buying float, bank funding is far cheaper.
Essentials at USD 49 covers AP or AR. Move to Corporate at USD 89 only when both are running, not because it is labelled Most Popular.
BILL is priced per user per month with no free tier, so every dormant approver is a full-price seat. Review the list before each renewal.
No annual discount or free trial is published. Make BILL confirm both, plus your per-rail fees, before you sign.
Renewal email you can copy
Fill in the brackets and send it about 90 days before the renewal date. It works best next to your renewal tracker.
Subject: BILL renewal on [renewal date] Hi [account manager], Our BILL [plan] subscription renews on [renewal date]. Over the last 90 days, [active ap and ar users] of the [paid ap and ar users] we pay for used it. We would like to renew with [target ap and ar users] on a [term] term. | Alternative | Starting price | Pick it when |
|---|---|---|
| Tipalti | From USD 99 per month (Accounts Payable, platform fee) | You pay a lot of suppliers across borders and want unlimited users instead of per seat pricing Read our Tipalti pricing guide |
| Ramp | USD0 per user per month (Free plan) | You want bill pay bundled with cards and expenses rather than as a standalone subscription Read our Ramp pricing guide |
| Coupa | Custom quote, no published price | You need procurement and sourcing upstream of AP, not just invoice processing Read our Coupa pricing guide |
Payment fees post to the bank and the card, not to the software invoice. Few teams add them to the BILL line.
Bottom line. Pick the plan by function, move payments to the cheapest rail and audit seats before each renewal. Get the fee schedule and any annual rate in writing before you sign.
BILL's published subscription is USD 49 per user per month on Essentials, USD 65 on Team and USD 89 on Corporate, with Enterprise quoted by sales. Payment fees are separate: USD 0.59 per ACH or ePayment, USD 1.99 per mailed check and USD 19.99 per international USD wire.
No. Every BILL plan is paid, starting at USD 49 per user per month on Essentials, and no free tier appears in reporting of BILL's pricing page. A free trial is not published either, so ask whether one is available before you commit.
BILL does not publish an Enterprise price and quotes it through sales, scoped around entity count, controls and ERP integration. Use Corporate at USD 89 per user per month as your anchor and ask for the quote to be broken out by subscription, services and payment fees.
No annual discount is published, so the real savings come from the fee side: ACH at USD 0.59 instead of checks at USD 1.99, local-currency wires instead of USD 19.99 USD wires, and bank funding instead of 2.9% card funding. Seat audits and a competing Tipalti quote are the subscription levers.
Not according to anything published. Reporting of BILL's pricing page shows a single per user per month rate per plan with no separate annual figure, so assume you pay the monthly rate and ask BILL whether an annual commitment changes it.
If bill pay bundled with cards is acceptable, Ramp's Free plan is USD 0 and includes AP. For cross-border supplier payments, Tipalti starts at a published USD 99 a month platform fee for Accounts Payable with unlimited users, which can beat per-seat pricing as teams grow.
We start from the vendor pricing page and note the date. Where a figure comes from a third party instead, we say so on the page.
