Docusign is the name most people think of for eSignature, and its plans look straightforward. The cost depends on envelope allowances, which features push you to Business Pro, and per-use add-ons like SMS delivery and ID verification.
This guide covers every eSignature plan with prices checked against Docusign's official pricing page.
Prices below were recorded on 21 September 2026. The headline figure is the lowest price you can get for that plan. Check the official page before you buy, because vendors change prices without notice.

How billing works
Docusign's published plans are annual commitments billed monthly: Personal is USD 132 a year, Standard USD 360 per user a year and Business Pro USD 540 per user a year. Usage is capped by envelopes, 5 a month on Personal and 100 per user per year on Standard and Business Pro, and every envelope sent counts even if it is never signed. Envelopes above the allowance are billed pay-as-you-go, and SMS delivery and ID verification are charged per use.
The tier trap
Bulk send, web forms and payment collection start on Business Pro at USD 45 per user a month, and SSO needs an Enhanced plan quoted by sales. One HR or sales workflow that needs bulk send can raise every seat by 50 percent.
Read this first. The official page shows only annual plans billed monthly, and month-to-month prices were not displayed, so we list none. Third-party month-to-month figures conflict, so we do not use them. The free trial length was not stated. The fiscal year end window comes from Vendr and was not confirmed with Docusign. We could not verify whether Standard and Business Pro seats can be mixed in one account, so that lever is hedged.
Move the slider to see what each plan costs at your size. The figures use the list prices on this page and leave out tax, add-ons and any discount you negotiate.
Ten users shows the cost of Business Pro for bulk send, and what an SSO requirement does to a quote.
| Scenario | Cost per year | Against the headline |
|---|---|---|
| Standard, annual plan (10 users) | USD3,600 | Headline price |
| Bulk send or payments needed, so Business Pro (10 users) | USD5,400 | +USD 1,800 |
| IT requires SSO, so an Enhanced plan (10 users) | Custom | Quote required |

Our view
Docusign is the most recognized eSignature brand, and Standard is fine for teams with modest volume. It is expensive next to competitors that include unlimited signature requests, so it earns its price mainly where counterparties expect Docusign or where you need its enterprise controls.
You may be overpaying if
Most of your users send only a few envelopes a year, or you are on Business Pro just for bulk send that one team uses.
Give seats to people who send, not everyone who needs to see agreements, and track envelopes per user.
Keep most users on Standard if only one team needs bulk send, web forms or payments. Confirm plan mixing with Docusign.
Vendr points to November to January, Docusign's fiscal year end window, as the best time to negotiate.
Vendr reports multi-year Docusign commitments save 10 to 25 percent.
Dropbox Sign, PandaDoc and Zoho Sign all offer cheaper or free entry plans.
Match envelope allowances to 12 months of actual sends before renewal.

Signature tools grow by workflow. HR adds one for offer letters, sales adds one for contracts, and each team negotiates its own envelope bundle.
Bottom line. Docusign is worth paying for where counterparties expect it or you need enterprise controls, but most teams can save by seating only real senders and matching envelopes to actual use. Review senders and envelopes 90 days before each renewal.
Docusign Standard costs USD 30 per user per month and Business Pro USD 45 per user per month, on annual plans billed monthly. Personal costs USD 11 a month for one user. Enhanced plans for 50 or more users are quoted by sales.
No. Docusign does not list a free eSignature plan on its pricing page. The cheapest option is Personal at USD 11 a month on an annual plan, which allows one user to send 5 envelopes a month.
Docusign's Enhanced plans for 50 or more users are custom priced. Vendr reports a median Docusign contract value of USD 17,609 a year across 1,133 deals, with average negotiated savings of about 16.8 percent. Quotes depend on users, envelope volume and add-ons.
Yes. Vendr reports multi-year commitments save 10 to 25 percent and that November to January, around Docusign's fiscal year end, is the best time to negotiate. Competing quotes from Dropbox Sign or PandaDoc add bargaining power at renewal.
Personal includes 5 envelopes a month. Standard and Business Pro include up to 100 envelopes per user per year. An envelope counts once sent, even if unsigned, and extra envelopes are billed pay-as-you-go, so track sends per user before renewal.
PandaDoc and Zoho Sign both have free eSignature plans. Dropbox Sign Standard costs USD 17.50 per user per month billed annually and includes unlimited signature requests, well below Docusign Standard at USD 30 per user per month.
