Every Miro plan in plain numbers, the seat and AI credit rules, and where a workshop tool turns into a paid workspace.

Miro costs USD 8 per member per month on Starter and USD 20 on Business, billed annually, or about USD 10 and USD 25 billed monthly. Enterprise is custom and starts at 30 members. A 25-member team pays USD 2,400 a year on Starter or USD 6,000 on Business at list price. SSO requires Business.

Miro plans and prices
Miro is easy to start and easy to spread. One team runs a workshop, invites twenty people, and a few months later there is a paid workspace full of members who opened one board.
This guide covers each plan, the seat and AI credit rules, and where the bill grows, using Miro's official pricing page.
Prices below were recorded on 21 September 2026. The headline figure is the lowest price you can get for that plan. Check the official page before you buy, because vendors change prices without notice.

How billing works
Miro bills members. On paid plans, visitors can edit boards without a paid seat, and guests (Business and up) are handled separately. Members added mid-cycle are prorated for the remaining days, but removing members only takes effect at renewal, so a seat bought in month two is paid for the rest of the term. AI credits reset monthly per member, and extra credit packages cost more.
The tier trap
SSO and guest access start on Business at USD 20 per member, 2.5 times the Starter price. SCIM and audit logs need Enterprise, which starts at 30 members.
Read this first. Annual prices, AI credits, the 30-member Enterprise floor and the billing rules come from Miro's official page. The monthly prices (USD 10 Starter, USD 25 Business) come from a 2026 third-party guide and match the 20 percent annual discount Miro states, so confirm them with the billing toggle. Business annual now reads USD 20. Older content that says USD 16 is outdated, but we found no dated source for the change.

Our view
Miro Starter is good value for internal teams, and free editing visitors keep workshop costs low. Business is worth its higher price only when SSO or client guests are required, since that is where most of the extra cost comes from.
You may be overpaying if
Many members only join occasional workshops and could be visitors, you pay for Business although the team never invites guests, or you already get whiteboarding in Microsoft 365 or Figma.
How to pay less for Miro
Use visitors for workshops
On paid plans visitors can edit boards without a paid seat. Stop buying member seats for one-off participants.
Audit before renewal
Removals only take effect at renewal, so run the seat audit 30 to 60 days before the term ends.
Commit annually
Annual billing is about 20 percent cheaper: USD 8 instead of USD 10 on Starter and USD 20 instead of USD 25 on Business.
Split the plan
Keep internal teams on Starter and put only client-facing teams on Business, if your admin setup allows it.
Use eligible programs
Miro is free for accredited education institutions, discounted for eligible nonprofits and offers startup credits.

Keeping Miro spend under control
Whiteboard tools spread by invitation. Every workshop leaves a few new paid members behind, and because removals wait for renewal, nobody sees the waste until the invoice.
- Track who holds a seat. Keep one list of paid seats, their owners and the date each was last used. Our guide to vendor management shows how to set that up.
- Put renewals on a calendar. Log every renewal date and notice period in a contract renewal tracker so nobody finds out after the term rolls over.
- Route new buys through one request. Cards and expense claims hide duplicate subscriptions. A short purchase requisition step catches them before the first payment.
- Know your whole software bill. Pull every vendor into one view with a spend analysis template, then look at the tools with the fastest growth.
Bottom line. Starter covers most internal teams, and Business is worth it when SSO or client guests are real needs. Audit members before renewal and move workshop participants to visitor access.

Is there a free version of Miro?
Yes. Miro Free allows 3 editable boards, 10 AI credits per month and view-only visitors, with no time limit. It has no private boards, guests or SSO, so most teams upgrade once they run more than a few workshops.
How much is Miro Enterprise?
Miro does not publish an Enterprise price. Sales quotes it from 30 members, and it includes SCIM provisioning, audit logs and at least 2,500 pooled AI credits per month. Expect the quote to depend on seat count and contract length.
Can you get a discount on Miro?
Yes. Annual billing saves about 20 percent, accredited education institutions get Miro free, eligible nonprofits receive a discount and startups can apply for credits. Enterprise buyers can also negotiate seat volume, pooled AI credits and multi-year terms.
Is Miro cheaper billed annually?
Yes. Starter falls from about USD 10 to USD 8 per member per month and Business from about USD 25 to USD 20. For a 25-member Business team that is USD 7,500 a year on monthly billing against USD 6,000 on annual billing.
What is the cheapest alternative to Miro?
