Pricing guide, Knowledge Management Software
Every Confluence plan in plain numbers, how annual user tiers work, and the SSO cost that sits outside the plan.
The short answer
Confluence Standard costs USD 7.15 and Premium USD 14.10 per user per month on monthly billing for up to 100 users, from 13 October 2026. Annual plans are priced by user tier: a 50-person team pays USD 3,600 a year on Standard or USD 7,100 on Premium. Confluence is free for up to 10 users.

Confluence is where teams write specs, policies and how-to pages, and it tends to become the company wiki everyone needs a login for. Because every reader is a licensed user, the bill grows with headcount, not with the number of people who actually write.
This guide prices Free, Standard, Premium and Enterprise from Atlassian's official pricing page and future pricing tables. Issue tracking lives in Jira, a separate subscription with its own guide.
Prices below were recorded on 12 October 2026. The headline figure is the lowest price you can get for that plan. Check the official page before you buy, because vendors change prices without notice.

How billing works
Monthly subscriptions are billed on the exact number of Confluence users, at USD 7.15 on Standard and USD 14.10 on Premium per user for the first 100 users, with lower progressive rates above that. Annual subscriptions are billed for the user tier that covers your count: 26 to 50 users costs USD 3,600 on Standard and USD 7,100 on Premium, and the 51st user moves you to the 100-user tier. Every person who can log in counts as a user, guests are free on paid plans, and Enterprise is annual only from 801 users. SSO and SCIM need Atlassian Guard Standard below Enterprise.
The tier trap
Annual Confluence plans are sold in user tiers, so the 51st user moves a Standard team from USD 3,600 to the 100-user tier at USD 7,200 a year. Because every reader needs a license, a company wiki crosses tier boundaries faster than you expect.
Read this first. Atlassian raised Confluence list prices on 13 October 2026. This page uses the new prices from Atlassian's official future pricing tables, while the live page still showed the old prices (USD 6.70 and USD 13.20 monthly, USD 3,350 and USD 6,600 annual at 50 users) on 12 October 2026. Confirm that the pricing page has switched. Annual per-user figures (USD 6 Standard, USD 11.83 Premium) are derived from the 26 to 50 user annual tier, so the calculator reproduces the tier price at 50 users only. No Confluence-specific buyer benchmark was found, and Vendr publishes only an Atlassian-wide median, which is used on the Jira page.
Move the slider to see what each plan costs at your size. The figures use the list prices on this page and leave out tax, add-ons and any discount you negotiate.

Pick it if 10 or fewer people share pages and 2GB of storage is enough.
Pick it if a team needs permissions, free guests, 250GB of storage and Rovo AI.
Pick it if Confluence is your company intranet and you need analytics, admin insights and a 99.9% SLA.
Pick it if you have 801 or more users, need multiple sites or want Guard included.
Our view
Confluence Standard is fair value as a team or engineering wiki, especially alongside Jira. Premium is worth it when Confluence becomes the company intranet and admins need analytics. The cost lever is licensing, because paying for every occasional reader adds up fast.
You may be overpaying if
You license every employee to read a handful of pages, you sit just above an annual user tier, or you renewed automatically after 13 October 2026 without asking for a quote first.
Remove users who have not logged in recently so your count lands in the lowest tier that fits.
Guests are free on paid plans, and public links can replace licenses for read-only audiences.
Atlassian honors quotes generated before a price change until they expire.
Annual billing saves up to 17%, USD 690 a year for 50 Standard users.
Guard bills per user, so apply SSO to the users who need it.
Notion and ClickUp give you a competing number before renewal.

Wikis spread to every department, and each new reader is a license. Atlassian renewals bill at the then-current rate, so price changes arrive without a negotiation.
Bottom line. Start on Standard, move to Premium only when Confluence becomes the company intranet, and budget Guard separately if SSO is required. Clean up inactive readers 90 days before renewal and lock a quote before Atlassian's next price change.
From 13 October 2026, Confluence Standard costs USD 7.15 and Premium USD 14.10 per user per month on monthly billing for up to 100 users. On annual billing a 50-user tier costs USD 3,600 on Standard and USD 7,100 on Premium, about USD 6 and USD 11.83 per user per month.
Yes, for small teams. Confluence Free supports up to 10 users with 2GB of storage, 3 active whiteboards per user, 50 automation steps a month and community support. Above 10 users you need a paid plan.
Confluence Enterprise is billed annually and available from 801 users. From 13 October 2026, Atlassian's list price for a 1,000-user Enterprise tier is USD 137,000 a year, and it includes Atlassian Guard Standard for SSO and SCIM.
Yes. Annual billing saves up to 17%, larger user tiers cost less per user, and quotes generated before a price change are honored until they expire. Free guest access on paid plans also avoids licensing outside collaborators.
Usually. For 50 users, Standard costs USD 4,290 a year billed monthly against USD 3,600 annually, a saving of USD 690. Annual plans are priced by user tier, so check the tier boundary before committing.
ClickUp Unlimited includes docs and wikis for USD 7 per user per month billed yearly. Notion Plus costs USD 10 per member per month. For 10 or fewer users, Confluence Free costs nothing.
