JetBrains pricing for teams in 2026: IntelliJ IDEA Ultimate vs the All Products Pack
Current JetBrains organization prices, what changed in October 2025, and how to buy only the licenses your developers use.

JetBrains plans and prices
JetBrains IDEs are the default for many Java, Kotlin, Python and .NET teams, and the bill usually grows quietly. One team buys IntelliJ IDEA Ultimate, another wants PyCharm, and soon everyone is on the All Products Pack. The October 2025 price rise made that drift more expensive.
This guide covers current organization prices, what changed in 2025 and how to buy only the licenses your developers use.
Prices below were recorded on 21 September 2026. The headline figure is the lowest price you can get for that plan. Check the official page before you buy, because vendors change prices without notice.

How billing works
Organization licenses are named subscriptions bought per user per year and managed centrally in JetBrains Account, so a license stays paid until an admin revokes and reassigns it. Prices rose on 1 October 2025: IntelliJ IDEA Ultimate went from USD 599 to USD 719 per user per year and the All Products Pack from USD 779 to USD 979. JetBrains also stopped giving continuity discounts on new commercial subscriptions bought after 2 January 2025, so year two now costs the same as year one.
The tier trap
The All Products Pack costs USD 260 more per user per year than IntelliJ IDEA Ultimate, and teams often buy it for everyone because one or two people need a second IDE or AI Pro. Buy the pack only for developers who switch between IDEs.
Read this first. The JetBrains store renders prices with JavaScript and could not be read. The organization prices (USD 719 and USD 979 per user per year, effective 1 October 2025) come from ComponentSource and CheckThat, so confirm them on the store. Monthly organization prices were not verified. The 30-day trial length and the free-tier feature list were not read on an official page. The continuity discount end date and the startup and nonprofit discounts come from CheckThat.

Our view
JetBrains IDEs are still strong value for professional developers, but the 2025 price rise and the end of continuity discounts for new commercial licenses make seat hygiene matter more. Buy IntelliJ IDEA Ultimate by default and give the All Products Pack only to people who use several IDEs.

Keeping JetBrains spend under control
Developer licenses are named, so they behave like furniture. They stay assigned after a person leaves, and the count at renewal is the count of everyone who ever had one.
- Track who holds a seat. Keep one list of paid seats, their owners and the date each was last used. Our guide to vendor management shows how to set that up.
- Put renewals on a calendar. Log every renewal date and notice period in a contract renewal tracker so nobody finds out after the term rolls over.
- Route new buys through one request. Cards and expense claims hide duplicate subscriptions. A short purchase requisition step catches them before the first payment.
- Know your whole software bill. Pull every vendor into one view with a spend analysis template, then look at the tools with the fastest growth.
Bottom line. IntelliJ IDEA Ultimate is the right default, and the All Products Pack pays off only for people who use several IDEs or need AI Pro. Review license use in JetBrains Account 60 to 90 days before every renewal and revoke idle seats.

Yes. Since the 2025 unified distribution, IntelliJ IDEA has a free tier with core Java and Kotlin support, build tools and Git integration. Spring, enterprise frameworks and other Ultimate features still need a paid IntelliJ IDEA Ultimate or All Products Pack license.
How much is the JetBrains All Products Pack for organizations?
The All Products Pack costs USD 979 per user per year for organizations. It includes every JetBrains IDE, the .NET tools and JetBrains AI Pro. Vendr reports a median JetBrains contract of USD 16,132 a year, with average negotiated savings of about 11.6 percent.
Can you get a discount on JetBrains?
Yes, in some cases. Startups can get 50 percent off for up to 10 licenses, nonprofits and education institutions have discount programs, and larger buyers negotiate volume pricing through JetBrains or resellers. New commercial licenses no longer get continuity discounts in later years.
Does JetBrains still give continuity discounts to companies?
Not for new licenses. Commercial subscriptions bought after 2 January 2025 no longer qualify for continuity discounts, so year two costs the same as year one. Individual subscriptions still get 20 percent off in year two and 40 percent off from year three.
What is the cheapest alternative to JetBrains?
Visual Studio Code and Eclipse IDE are free. Cursor Pro costs USD 20 per user per month if your team wants an AI-first editor. For Java-only developers, the free IntelliJ IDEA tier may also be enough without paying JetBrains at all.
