Accounts payable software for UAE finance teams

UAE buyers search 'accounts payable software' about 590 times a month and 'e invoicing uae' about 2,900. The two are now the same conversation: from 2027, supplier invoices arrive as structured data through Accredited Service Providers.

The short answer

Accounts payable software for UAE companies should receive structured e-invoices through an Accredited Service Provider, from 1 January 2027 for revenue of AED 50 million or more and 1 July 2027 for others, while still capturing PDF invoices from suppliers outside the system. It should validate TRNs, handle VAT at 5% and reverse charge, match to POs and receipts, route approvals, pay by bank transfer and post to SAP, Oracle, Dynamics 365, Zoho Books or Odoo.

Market context

UAE AP teams have an ASP to appoint

The UAE e-invoicing timetable is specific. If your revenue is AED 50 million or more, you must appoint an Accredited Service Provider by 30 October 2026 and go live on 1 January 2027. If it is lower, the dates are 31 March 2027 and 1 July 2027.

That makes AP software selection urgent for many companies. The AP tool and the ASP need to work together: invoices arrive through the ASP, and the AP tool matches, approves and pays them. Choosing one without the other risks a gap at go-live.

PDF capture does not disappear. Overseas suppliers and businesses outside the system will still send PDFs. The best AP setup handles both in one queue.

Local operating reality

What the United Arab Emirates asks of a ap automation software

UAE AP capture needs to read the supplier's TRN, VAT at 5% and the invoice total, and recognise reverse charge on imported services. Corporate tax raises the stakes on record keeping, so the approval trail behind each payment should be complete.

Mid-sized groups need AP automation with ASP integration, matching and approvals across entities.

Enterprise

1,000+ employees

Large groups with revenue of AED 50 million or more go live on 1 January 2027 and need high-volume e-invoice processing now.

Questions UAE buyers ask

AP automation software in the United Arab Emirates: FAQ

1 January 2027 if annual revenue is AED 50 million or more, 1 July 2027 if below, and 1 October 2027 for government entities.

It exchanges e-invoices on your behalf within the UAE e-invoicing system. You must appoint one before your go-live date.

Usually yes. The ASP moves invoices; AP software matches, approves and pays them. Some providers offer both.

From suppliers outside the system, such as many overseas suppliers, you will still receive PDFs. Plan for both.
