A directory is not a shortlist
Capterra is built to show you many products, which is useful when you do not yet know the names. But a long list is not a shortlist. Treat the site as the place you gather candidates and reviews. Then use your own criteria to cut the list to two or three.

Capterra lists software by category and lets verified users post reviews with ratings on ease of use, customer service, features and value. You can filter by company size and features.
Some listings are labelled as sponsored. Vendors can pay for placement through an advertising program, so the order in which products first appear is not a quality ranking. Look for the labels on the live site.
