PO software for UAE businesses
'Po software' leads UAE purchase order searches at about 260 a month, followed by 'purchase requisition software' at 170. Buyers want POs, receipts and invoices in one place before e-invoices start arriving from ASPs in 2027.
The short answer
PO software for UAE businesses should raise POs from approved requisitions for each entity, apply VAT at 5% and flag reverse charge for overseas suppliers, require supplier TRNs, record goods receipts and match invoices before payment. It should sync with Zoho Books, Odoo, Tally, SAP, Oracle or Dynamics 365, and be ready to match structured e-invoices delivered through an Accredited Service Provider.
Structured e-invoices need structured POs
From 1 January 2027 for larger businesses and 1 July 2027 for the rest, supplier invoices in the UAE will arrive as structured XML through Accredited Service Providers. That is good news for AP, but only if there is something structured to match them against.
A PO in a spreadsheet or a Word template cannot be matched automatically. A PO in a system can. The invoice lines, quantities and VAT come in as data, and the system checks them against the PO and the goods receipt.
Requisitions are the other UAE habit. 'Purchase requisition software' gets about 170 searches a month here, a sign that many companies want the request and approval step digitised before the PO.
What the United Arab Emirates asks of a purchase order software
UAE POs should carry the buying entity, the supplier's TRN and the VAT treatment of each line. For overseas suppliers, the PO should signal reverse charge so AP posts the right VAT. Construction and project businesses should also be able to track retentions and variations.
