Procurement, vendor and AP software in the UAE
The UAE has a fixed e-invoicing calendar: businesses with revenue of AED 50 million or more must appoint an Accredited Service Provider by 30 October 2026 and go live on 1 January 2027. Everyone else follows on 1 July 2027. Searches for 'e invoicing uae' already run at about 2,900 a month.
The short answer
UAE companies buying procurement, purchase order, vendor management or AP software should check readiness for structured e-invoicing through an Accredited Service Provider (from January 2027 for revenue of AED 50 million or more, July 2027 for others), supplier TRN validation, VAT at 5% including reverse charge on imports, documentation that supports corporate tax, In-Country Value data where tenders score it, and a sync with SAP, Oracle, Dynamics 365, Zoho Books, Odoo or Tally.
Four guides for UAE finance and procurement teams
UAE buyers search 'procurement software' about 1,300 times a month and 'accounts payable software' about 590. 'Po software' leads the purchase order category. Each guide follows that phrasing.

E-invoicing is the headline. The Ministry of Finance has set phased dates: businesses with annual revenue of AED 50 million or more appoint an Accredited Service Provider by 30 October 2026 and go live on 1 January 2027. Businesses below that threshold appoint an ASP by 31 March 2027 and go live on 1 July 2027. Government entities follow on 1 October 2027. Invoices move in structured XML through ASPs, not as PDFs.
Corporate tax changed the documentation standard. Since the 9% corporate tax started for financial years from June 2023, purchase records have become evidence for deductions and, for related-party deals, transfer pricing. A procurement trail that shows who approved what, and why, is now a tax asset.
Group structures are complex. Many UAE groups run mainland companies alongside free zone entities, some of which may qualify for different corporate tax treatment, and DIFC and ADGM have their own data protection regimes. Procurement and AP software needs to keep each entity's records separate and correct.

Where UAE teams feel it first
Oil, gas and energy
Major national buyers score suppliers on In-Country Value. Supplier ICV certificates and local spend data matter in tenders.
Construction and real estate
Large contractor bases, progress payments and retentions. Vendor records and PO control are central to cost management.
Trading and logistics
High volumes of imports with VAT reverse charge and customs data. AP accuracy and e-invoicing readiness come first.
Free zone groups
Groups mixing free zone and mainland entities need separate, defensible records per entity for VAT and corporate tax.
