Accounts payable software for Indonesian finance teams
English-language searches for AP software in Indonesia are tiny, around 20 a month per phrase. Indonesian AP teams usually find tools through local vendors and ERP partners. The need is real though: Coretax has made tax invoices and withholding slips fully electronic.
The short answer
Accounts payable software for Indonesian companies should match supplier invoices and Faktur Pajak issued through Coretax, calculate PPN with the 11/12 base for non-luxury goods, apply PPh 23 or other withholding and support electronic withholding slips, match to POs and receipts, and pay through BI-FAST, SKN or RTGS. It should post to Accurate, SAP Business One, Odoo, NetSuite or Dynamics 365.
Coretax made Indonesian AP a data job
Indonesian AP teams used to juggle printed invoices, tax invoices and withholding slips. Since Coretax went live in January 2025, the tax documents are electronic, and the AP team's job is to make sure the data agrees.
That means three checks per invoice. Does the Faktur Pajak match the invoice and the PO? Is the PPN calculated on the right base? Is the right withholding applied, with the slip issued? AP software runs those checks automatically and flags the exceptions.
Withholding is the part that trips teams up. PPh 23 applies to many services and rentals, and the slip must be issued and reported. AP software that computes withholding from the vendor and item, and prepares the slip data, saves hours a week.
The local facts your vendor must handle
Payments in Indonesia run through BI-FAST for smaller amounts, SKN and RTGS. Ask each vendor which rails they support, how payment runs are approved and how bank detail changes are verified.
- Indirect tax
- PPN (VAT) at a 12% statutory rate; non-luxury goods use a tax base of 11/12, for an effective 11%
- Tax authority
- Directorate General of Taxes (DJP)
- E-invoicing
- Every taxable supply needs an electronic tax invoice (Faktur Pajak). DJP moved tax administration onto the Coretax system from 1 January 2025, and since April 2025 invoices show the 12% rate with the 11/12 tax base for non-luxury goods.

Indonesian AP teams usually start with Faktur Pajak matching. If that is solved, move to withholding and payments.

Invoices a month, share with a PO and days to approve: measure all three in Indonesia.
Test capture on your worst invoices
Handwritten, multi-page or multi-currency Indonesian invoices separate strong tools from average ones.
Check payments and local rules
Confirm how each finalist pays Indonesian suppliers and handles local invoicing rules.
