How billing works
Recruiter Lite is a self-serve, single-user subscription: USD 170 billed monthly or USD 1,680 billed annually, which works out to USD 140 a month. Recruiter Professional Services and Recruiter Corporate are sold only through LinkedIn sales on annual contracts priced per seat, with InMail allowances fixed per seat. Seats cannot be shared between recruiters, so every person who sources needs their own license.
The tier trap
Recruiter Lite searches only your 1st to 3rd degree network with 30 InMails a month. The moment a team needs full-network search, bulk messaging or ATS integration, the only path is a sales-quoted Recruiter contract.
Read this first. LinkedIn's official Recruiter Lite page confirms the features (20-plus filters, 30 InMails, 1st to 3rd degree reach) but does not show the price. The USD 170 monthly and USD 1,680 annual figures come from Pin's 2026 guide, and Pin is a competitor. The compare-plans page returned an error and linkedin.com/premium is blocked to crawlers. The Professional Services column in the matrix comes from Pin, not an official comparison. The trial length is not confirmed. The Indeed Smart Sourcing price comes from Truffle.

Where the bill grows
A Recruiter budget leaks through seats that outlive the hiring plan.
Monthly billing premium
Lite costs USD 170 a month on monthly billing against USD 140 on an annual plan, so a recruiter kept on monthly for a year pays USD 360 extra.
InMail caps per seat
Lite includes 30 InMails a month and Corporate 150. High-volume outreach runs out fast, and extra credits are a separate purchase.
Seats are personal
Recruiter licenses cannot be shared or rotated between recruiters, so a new hire or contractor means a new seat.
Annual contract lock-in
Professional Services and Corporate are annual contracts. Seats bought for a hiring push keep billing after the freeze starts.
Job posts are billed separately
Recruiter seats do not include promoted job posts, which LinkedIn charges for on a separate budget.

Which LinkedIn Recruiter plan should you pick?
Recruiter Lite
Pick it if one or two people source candidates occasionally and your network reach is good enough.
Recruiter Professional Services
Pick it if you run an agency or staffing firm and need full-network search at scale.
Recruiter Corporate
Pick it if an in-house team hires all year and needs ATS integration, bulk messaging and shared pipelines.
Our view
Recruiter Lite is good value for a founder or hiring manager filling a handful of roles, at USD 1,680 a year per seat. The full Recruiter contracts only pay off when a team sources every week and will use the InMail allowance and ATS integration.
You may be overpaying if
You bought Recruiter Corporate seats for a hiring push that has since slowed, recruiters use a fraction of their InMails, or Lite seats sit on monthly billing for a whole year.
How to pay less for LinkedIn Recruiter
Pay Lite annually
Annual Recruiter Lite is USD 140 a month instead of USD 170, a saving of USD 360 per seat per year.
Match seats to hiring plans
Before renewal, compare seats to open requisitions for the next two quarters and drop licenses tied to paused roles.
Audit InMail usage
If recruiters use far fewer InMails than their allowance, Lite may cover part of the team instead of full Recruiter seats.
Get competing sourcing quotes
Pin lists a Solo plan at USD 99 a month and Indeed Smart Sourcing lists USD 520 a month with 100 contacts. Real quotes give you bargaining power.
Negotiate term and seats together
On Professional Services and Corporate, trade a longer term or fixed seat count for a lower per-seat rate and a cap on renewal increases.
What other buyers report
Pin reports Recruiter Professional Services at roughly USD 6,000 to USD 10,000 per seat per year and Recruiter Corporate at roughly USD 8,999 to USD 15,000 per seat per year in 2026. Source

Keeping LinkedIn Recruiter spend under control
Recruiting tools are bought for a hiring push and renewed on a calendar. When the push ends the seats stay, and so does the invoice.
Track who holds a seat. Keep one list of paid seats, their owners and the date each was last used. Our guide to vendor management shows how to set that up.
Put renewals on a calendar. Log every renewal date and notice period in a contract renewal tracker so nobody finds out after the term rolls over.
Route new buys through one request. Cards and expense claims hide duplicate subscriptions. A short purchase requisition step catches them before the first payment.
Know your whole software bill. Pull every vendor into one view with a spend analysis template, then look at the tools with the fastest growth.
Bottom line. Start with Recruiter Lite on annual billing, and move to a Recruiter contract only when a team is sourcing every week. Before each renewal, compare seats and InMail use with the next two quarters of hiring.
LinkedIn Recruiter pricing questions
How much does LinkedIn Recruiter cost per seat?
Recruiter Lite costs USD 170 per month billed monthly or USD 1,680 a year billed annually, about USD 140 a month. Recruiter Professional Services and Recruiter Corporate are quote-only, with Pin reporting roughly USD 6,000 to USD 15,000 per seat per year across the two.
Is there a free version of LinkedIn Recruiter?
No. There is no free Recruiter plan, but LinkedIn offers a Recruiter Lite trial at checkout. Anyone can search and message on a free LinkedIn account, but without the 20-plus filters, 30 monthly InMails and candidate recommendations Lite includes.
How much is LinkedIn Recruiter Corporate?
LinkedIn does not publish Corporate pricing. It is sold per seat on annual contracts through sales. Pin reports roughly USD 8,999 to USD 15,000 per seat per year in 2026, depending on seat count, term and negotiation.
Can you get a discount on LinkedIn Recruiter?
Yes. Recruiter Lite is about 18 percent cheaper on annual billing. On Professional Services and Corporate, buyers negotiate on seat count, contract length and renewal caps, and a credible competing sourcing quote is the strongest lever.
Is LinkedIn Recruiter Lite cheaper billed annually?
Yes. Annual billing costs USD 1,680 a year, about USD 140 a month, against USD 170 a month on monthly billing. That saves USD 360 per seat per year, or USD 1,080 for a 3-person team.
What is the cheapest alternative to LinkedIn Recruiter?
For a single recruiter, Pin's Solo plan lists at USD 99 a month billed annually and sources beyond LinkedIn. Indeed Smart Sourcing lists USD 520 a month for 100 contacts. If you already pay for Corporate, dropping some seats to Lite is often cheapest.
