Figma pricing in 2026: Full, Dev and Collab seats on every plan
Every Figma plan and seat type in plain numbers, what changed in March 2025, and why seat management matters more than the headline price.
The short answer
Figma Full seats cost USD 16 a month on Professional billed annually (USD 20 monthly), USD 55 on Organization and USD 90 on Enterprise. Dev seats cost USD 12 to USD 35 and Collab seats USD 3 to USD 5. Ten Full seats cost USD 1,920 a year on Professional or USD 6,600 on Organization at list price.

Figma plans and prices
Figma changed how it bills in March 2025. Instead of editors and free viewers, there are Full, Dev and Collab seats at different prices on every plan, and anyone can request an upgrade. That makes seat management the biggest factor in what a company pays.
This guide covers every plan and seat type, what changes the invoice and how to keep upgrades under control.
Prices below were recorded on 21 September 2026. The headline figure is the lowest price you can get for that plan. Check the official page before you buy, because vendors change prices without notice.

How billing works
Since March 2025 Figma bills by seat type: Full seats for designers, Dev seats for developers using Dev Mode and Collab seats for FigJam and Slides, with viewers free. Admins approve seat upgrades by default, and approved seats are added to the next invoice prorated from the day of approval. Organization and Enterprise are billed annually only, and on Professional, editors added mid-term on an annual plan are charged at the monthly rate until renewal.
The tier trap
SSO, branching and organization-wide design systems start on Organization, where a Full seat costs USD 55 instead of USD 16. A security requirement more than triples the cost of every designer seat.
Read this first. Figma's pricing page returned outdated content when we fetched it, so seat prices come from the Figma help article and UserJot. Sources conflict on Professional annual prices: UserJot and most 2026 sources give USD 16 Full, USD 12 Dev and USD 3 Collab (monthly USD 20, USD 15 and USD 5), while our reading of the help article gave lower numbers. Confirm on figma.com/pricing. AI credit allowances per seat and free trial availability were not verified.

Which Figma plan should you pick?
Starter
Pick it if you are exploring Figma with a few files and do not need shared libraries.
Professional
Pick it if a small team needs team libraries, Dev Mode and unlimited version history.
Organization
Pick it if you need SSO, activity logs, branching or organization-wide design systems.
Enterprise
Pick it if you need guest access controls, expiring public links and the strictest admin controls.
Our view
Figma is the standard for product design, and Professional is good value for small teams. The seat model rewards careful admin work. Giving developers and stakeholders Dev and Collab seats instead of Full seats, and keeping upgrade approvals on, matters more than the headline price.
You may be overpaying if
Developers and PMs hold Full seats when they only need Dev or Collab seats, or seat upgrades are auto-approved and never reviewed.
How to pay less for Figma
Match seat type to role
Give developers Dev seats and PMs Collab seats. Only people who design need Full seats.
Keep upgrade approval on
Leave seat upgrades on manual approval so requests do not become invoices by default.
Commit annually on Professional
A Full seat drops from USD 20 to USD 16 a month on annual billing.
Audit seats before renewal
Downgrade people who have not edited files in 90 days to View or Collab seats.

- 11 March 2025: Figma replaced editor and viewer billing with Full, Dev and Collab seats and new per-seat prices, applied from each customer's first renewal on or after that date.

Keeping Figma spend under control
Seat-type pricing turns every request into a purchase. If admins approve by default, the design tool bill is set by whoever asks first and not by the budget owner.
- Track who holds a seat. Keep one list of paid seats, their owners and the date each was last used. Our guide to vendor management shows how to set that up.
- Put renewals on a calendar. Log every renewal date and notice period in a contract renewal tracker so nobody finds out after the term rolls over.
- Route new buys through one request. Cards and expense claims hide duplicate subscriptions. A short purchase requisition step catches them before the first payment.
- Know your whole software bill. Pull every vendor into one view with a spend analysis template, then look at the tools with the fastest growth.
Bottom line. Professional is the right plan for most small teams, and Organization is worth it only when SSO and shared design systems are real requirements. Review seat types every quarter and before every renewal, and keep upgrade approvals on.

Annual billing on Professional saves 20 percent on Full seats. Larger buyers negotiate seat mix and term length on Organization and Enterprise, and the biggest savings usually come from moving developers and PMs to Dev or Collab seats.
What is the difference between Full, Dev and Collab seats?
Full seats can use Figma Design and every other product. Dev seats are for developers using Dev Mode. Collab seats cover FigJam and Slides for people who brainstorm and present. Viewers are free on all plans.
