Pricing guide, Workflow Automation
Every Zapier plan in plain numbers, how task tiers and overage set the bill, and when Team replaces Professional.
The short answer
Zapier costs USD 19.99 to USD 69 a month at the entry task tiers on annual billing (USD 29.99 to USD 103.50 monthly), with a free plan for 100 tasks and quote-based Enterprise. One company account running 2,000 tasks a month pays USD 588 a year on Professional or USD 828 on Team, before any overage.

Zapier rarely starts as a purchase. Someone in operations connects two apps on the free plan, a few more Zaps follow, and within a year the company depends on automations that bill by the task. List prices are public, but the bill moves with usage, and that is where finance gets surprised.
This guide walks through Free, Professional, Team and Enterprise with task tiers checked against Zapier's official pricing page, then shows where overage and upgrades push the real cost.
Prices below were recorded on 12 October 2026. The headline figure is the lowest price you can get for that plan. Check the official page before you buy, because vendors change prices without notice.

How billing works
Zapier prices each plan by tasks per month. Professional runs from USD 19.99 for 750 tasks to USD 3,389 for 2 million on annual billing, and Team from USD 69 for 2,000 tasks to USD 3,999 for 2 million. Allowances reset monthly even on annual plans, so unused tasks do not roll over. With pay-per-task turned on, tasks past the limit are billed at 1.25x the base task rate on annual plans and 2.5x on monthly plans, and Zaps pause at 3x the subscribed tasks. With it off, automations stop at the limit. Agent activities and chatbots are billed separately from tasks.
The tier trap
Professional is a one-user plan. As soon as a second person needs to build or share Zaps, or IT asks for SAML SSO, you move to Team, which costs USD 69 a month at 2,000 tasks against USD 49 on Professional, about 41% more. SCIM provisioning is Enterprise only.
Read this first. Task-tier prices were read on zapier.com/pricing on 12 October 2026. Agents (from about USD 33.33 a month on Pro) and the Chatbots add-on (about USD 13.33 a month for 5) are shown as approximate on the page, so confirm before quoting. Zapier does not publish a non-renewal notice period. CostBench claims a February 2026 Team rise from USD 69 to USD 99, which conflicts with the official USD 69 and was not used. The scenarios treat one account running 2,000 tasks a month, and not seats.
Move the slider to see what each plan costs at your size. The figures use the list prices on this page and leave out tax, add-ons and any discount you negotiate.
Zapier bills by task volume and not by seat, so this table follows one account at 2,000 tasks a month through the Team upgrade and monthly billing.
| Scenario | Cost per year | Against the headline |
|---|---|---|
| Professional at 2,000 tasks, billed annually (1 account) | USD588 | Headline price |
| Second builder and SAML SSO needed, so Team at 2,000 tasks, annually (1 account) | USD828 | +USD 240 |
| Team paid monthly instead of annually (1 account) | USD1,242 | +USD 414 |

Features we could not place by plan: Multi-step Zaps, premium apps, webhooks, Pay-per-task overage, Shared workspaces and connections, SAML SSO, SCIM provisioning, Technical account manager. Check the official page for which plan includes each one.
Pick it if one person runs a few two-step Zaps and 100 tasks a month is enough.
Pick it if a single owner needs multi-step Zaps, premium apps and webhooks.
Pick it if several people build automations, share connections or IT requires SAML SSO.
Pick it if you need SCIM, custom data retention, an annual task pool or a technical account manager.
Our view
Zapier is good value when automations replace manual work every day, and Professional is cheap for a single owner. Team is worth its premium once automations become shared company infrastructure. The risk is not the list price but unmanaged task growth and overage.
You may be overpaying if
You bought a task tier far above your monthly usage, pay monthly for automations you have run for a year, or let overage run at 2.5x because nobody switched to annual billing.
Review three months of task history and pick the tier that covers it, not the peak.
Annual billing is about 33% cheaper, and annual overage is billed at 1.25x instead of 2.5x.
Turn off duplicate and idle Zaps, and add filters early so steps that do nothing do not use tasks.
Triggers and actions inside Zapier Tables do not count toward tasks.
Zapier gives eligible nonprofits an extra 15% off, excluding pay-per-task charges.
Make, n8n and Power Automate give you a competing number before renewal.

Automations multiply quietly. Every new Zap draws on the same monthly task pool, and the person who built an old one has often moved on.
Bottom line. Start on Professional for a single owner, move to Team once automations are shared or SSO is required, and choose the task tier from real usage. Then review task history and the renewal date 90 days before the term ends.
