MailerLite plans and prices

MailerLite renamed and repriced its plans in 2026, so older guides quoting Growing Business and Advanced are out of date. Every paid plan now has the full feature set in principle, and you pay more for a bigger list, more sending and fewer caps.

This guide uses the prices on MailerLite's official pricing calculator, monthly and yearly, and shows what a typical list costs.

Prices below were recorded on 12 October 2026. The headline figure is the lowest price you can get for that plan. Check the official page before you buy, because vendors change prices without notice.

How billing works

MailerLite prices on usage and not on feature access. Your tier is set by subscriber count, and Comfort also caps monthly emails at 10 times the top of your tier. Subscribers are counted cumulatively within each billing cycle and reset on your billing anniversary, and unsubscribed and bounced contacts do not count. Going over your limit on a paid plan raises it to the next tier and bills that price. Yearly billing saves 10%, downgrades take effect at the next cycle, and only one discount applies at a time.

The tier trap

Comfort caps you at 3 seats, 50 automations, 10 forms and 10 times your tier in monthly emails. A team of four, or anyone sending more than ten emails per subscriber a month, has to move to Power, which costs about 20% to 110% more depending on list size.

Read this first. All tier prices were read from the official pricing calculator (monthly and yearly toggles). The June 2026 price-history item comes from Mailmodo, which gives no exact day, and other third-party sites cite 16 June or 3 July 2026, so confirm the date. Power's "unlimited" monthly emails are subject to a fair use policy.

Where the bill grows

A MailerLite bill follows list size and plan caps. These are the places it moves.

Cumulative subscriber count

Everyone added during the cycle counts until your billing anniversary, even if you clean the list mid-cycle.

Automatic tier upgrade

Passing your subscriber limit on a paid plan moves you to the next tier and bills that price.

Comfort email cap

Comfort allows 10 times your tier in monthly emails, so heavy senders need Power.

Seat cap

Comfort includes 3 seats, so a fourth user means Power.

Transactional email is separate

Transactional email and SMS run on MailerSend with its own billing.

No stacking discounts

Only one discount or promotion applies at a time, and there are no multi-account discounts.

Which MailerLite plan should you pick?

Free

Pick it if you have under 250 subscribers and send a simple newsletter.

Comfort

Pick it if up to 3 people send regular campaigns and automations within the caps.

Power

Pick it if you need more seats, unlimited automations or more than 10 sends per subscriber a month.

Enterprise

Pick it if you have 200,000 or more subscribers or need a dedicated IP and success manager.

Our view

MailerLite is one of the best-value email tools for small and mid-size lists, and Comfort covers most newsletters and automations. The 2026 repricing narrowed the gap with rivals at large lists, so compare quotes once you pass about 50,000 subscribers.

You may be overpaying if

You pay for Power but use fewer than 3 seats and under 10 sends per subscriber, you pay monthly for a list you have kept for years, or your count is inflated by imports you never mail.

How to pay less for MailerLite

  1. Pay yearly

Yearly billing saves 10%, so Comfort at 5,000 subscribers drops from USD 49 to USD 44.10 a month.

  2. Use the nonprofit discount

Nonprofits get 30% off paid plans with proof of status.

  3. Import carefully

Counts are cumulative in each cycle, so clean lists before importing and not after.

  4. Stay on Comfort

Move to Power only when seats, automations or send volume truly exceed the caps.

  5. Downgrade at cycle end

Downgrades take effect at the next cycle, so schedule them before renewal.

  6. Compare at scale

Above 50,000 subscribers, get quotes from Mailchimp and Klaviyo.

Price changes we know of

  • June 2026: Growing Business and Advanced were renamed Comfort and Power, and paid prices rose. At 200,000 subscribers the top plan went from USD 738 to USD 1,007.10 a month (reported by Mailmodo).

Renewal email you can copy

Fill in the brackets and send it about 90 days before the renewal date. It works best next to your renewal tracker.

Keeping MailerLite spend under control

Subscriber counts rise through imports and signups, and a cumulative count means a clean-up mid-cycle does not lower the bill. The tier moves without a decision.

  • Count the users who log in. Sales, marketing and revenue operations often buy the same type of tool separately. Compare logins against paid seats before every renewal.
  • Calendar the renewal and notice window. Annual contracts for data and engagement tools often renew at a higher price. A renewal tracker keeps the date visible.
  • Check the data terms before you sign. Contact data brings privacy duties with it. Ask for the data processing terms during supplier onboarding, not after go-live.
  • Add the tool to your software spend view. Use a spend analysis template to see what go-to-market tools cost as a group.

Bottom line. Comfort on yearly billing is the right starting point for most teams, and Power is worth it only when seats, automations or send volume exceed Comfort's caps. Check your subscriber count before each renewal.

MailerLite pricing questions

How much does MailerLite cost per month?

MailerLite Comfort costs USD 12 a month and Power USD 25 for up to 500 subscribers when billed monthly. At 1,000 subscribers they cost USD 19 and USD 39, and at 5,000 subscribers USD 49 and USD 69. Yearly billing takes 10% off each price.

Is there a free version of MailerLite?

Yes. The Free plan covers up to 250 subscribers and 2,500 emails a month with 2 user seats, 3 automations, 1 website and landing page and 3 signup forms. Going over 250 active subscribers locks campaign and automation sending.

What is the difference between MailerLite Comfort and Power?

Comfort includes 3 seats, 50 automations, 10 websites and landing pages and emails up to 10 times your tier. Power removes those caps with unlimited seats, automations, landing pages and emails under fair use, plus multiple automation triggers and 24/7 live chat.

Can you get a discount on MailerLite?

Yes. Yearly billing saves 10%, and nonprofits get 30% off paid plans with proof of status. Only one discount applies at a time, and MailerLite does not offer multi-account discounts.

Is MailerLite cheaper billed yearly?

Yes. Yearly billing is 10% cheaper: Comfort at 500 subscribers drops from USD 12 to USD 10.80 a month and Power from USD 25 to USD 22.50. For 5,000 subscribers on Comfort that saves USD 58.80 a year.

What is the cheapest alternative to MailerLite?

Constant Contact Lite starts at USD 12 a month and Mailchimp Essentials at about USD 13 for 500 contacts, so MailerLite is already among the cheapest. For larger lists, compare tier prices directly, since each vendor counts contacts differently.

How we put this page together

Procurement VMS is a ratings and comparison site, not a software vendor, and nobody paid for a place in this guide. Spot a number that has changed? Tell us on the contact page and we will check it.
