Pricing guide, Password Management
Every Bitwarden plan in plain numbers, which plan needs SSO, and how unassigned seats quietly inflate the bill.
The short answer
Bitwarden Teams costs USD 4 and Enterprise USD 6 per user per month billed annually, with a free plan for individuals and two-person organizations. Families is USD 3.99 a month for up to 6 users. A 50-person team pays USD 2,400 a year on Teams or USD 3,600 on Enterprise at list price.

Bitwarden is one of the cheapest business password managers, and its prices are short and public. The real cost questions are which plan your security team will accept, and how many seats you are paying for once invitations, leavers and unassigned licenses pile up.
This guide prices Free, Teams, Enterprise and Families from Bitwarden's official pricing page and help docs, then shows where the bill grows.
Prices below were recorded on 12 October 2026. The headline figure is the lowest price you can get for that plan. Check the official page before you buy, because vendors change prices without notice.

How billing works
Bitwarden lists Teams at USD 4 and Enterprise at USD 6 per user per month, based on an annual subscription and excluding tax. Help docs say monthly billing is available, but no monthly price is published. On cloud Teams and Enterprise, inviting users automatically adds billed seats unless an admin sets a seat limit. On annual plans, added seats are charged a prorated amount immediately, and seats are never removed automatically: unassigned seats stay billed until an owner reduces them.
The tier trap
Login with SSO, enterprise policies and account recovery are Enterprise only, so a security requirement for identity-provider login moves every user from USD 4 to USD 6 a month, a 50% increase.
Read this first. Teams USD 4, Enterprise USD 6 (per user per month, billed annually), Premium USD 19.80 a year and Families USD 47.88 a year were read on bitwarden.com/pricing on 12 October 2026. Help docs say Teams and Enterprise can be billed monthly, but no monthly price is published. A page banner promotes a 14-day trial, so confirm it per plan. The January 2026 Premium and Families price rise is from AlternativeTo, not Bitwarden. 1Password Business (USD 8.99) is taken from a prior check, and sources conflict (USD 7.99 against USD 8.99). Keeper (USD 2 Business Starter) and Proton Pass (USD 1.99 Essentials) prices are from third-party reviews.

Our view
Bitwarden is one of the best-value password managers for business. Teams covers most small and midsize companies at USD 4 a user, and Enterprise is still cheap for SSO-driven organizations. The main risk is seat sprawl from auto-scaling, not the list price.
You may be overpaying if
You pay for unassigned seats, you moved to Enterprise without needing SSO or policies, or staff expense personal Premium plans that a company Enterprise plan would cover with free Families accounts.
Bitwarden lets owners cap auto-scaling so invitations cannot silently add billed seats.
Reduce the seat count after offboarding. Removed seats are credited against the next charge.
Enterprise's premium buys SSO, policies and self-hosting, so skip it if you do not need them.
Vendr reports 15% to 30% off list above 100 users and 10% to 20% lower per-user pricing on 2 to 3 year terms.
Vendr reports 15% to 25% better pricing for buyers evaluating competitors.
Enterprise includes free Families plans for members, so stop reimbursing personal plans.
What other buyers report
Vendr reports a median Bitwarden contract of USD 11,400 a year across 39 deals, ranging from USD 6,120 to USD 36,120 (February 2026). Source

| Keeper | USD2 per user per month (Business Starter, 5 to 10 users, annual) | A team of 5 to 10 wants the lowest entry seat price |
| Proton Pass | USD1.99 per user per month (Pass Essentials, annual) | A small team already uses Proton for email and storage |
Seats are added by invitation and removed only by hand. Leavers keep a billed seat until an owner notices.
