Our rule
No score without evidence behind it
Anyone can print 4.5 stars next to a product name. The number only means something if you know who wrote the reviews, how many there are and how recent they are. So our rule is simple. A score appears on this site only when a product has enough verified, recent buyer reviews to support it. Until then, we show the product as a starting point for a given company size, with our fit notes, and we point you to the review sites where public reviews already exist.

Reading any rating
Five questions to ask of a score
- 1. How many reviews?A high average from a handful of reviews is weak evidence.
- 2. How recent?Software changes. Prefer reviews from the last twelve months.
- 3. Who wrote them?Look for reviewers of your size, role and industry.
- 4. Were they verified?Check whether the site confirms the reviewer is a real user.
- 5. Was an incentive offered?Gift cards can shift scores. Check whether reviews say so.

Because we will not print a number we cannot support. Scores appear once there is enough verified, recent evidence.
Can a vendor pay to rank higher?
No. Paid placement, if ever offered, would be labelled and would never change a score.
Where do the starting points come from?
They reflect products buyers commonly consider at each size, based on public vendor material and buyer feedback. They are not a ranking.
